Lifeworks Business Center is having an Open House Tour and Networking Event April 5th (tomorrow) from 5 to 6:30 with door prizes (and anyone can bring their own). Comedian, Writer, Actress Phyllis Shulman To Perform
At “Be Deliciously Alive!” Event & Expo
At St. Charles Community College
Third Annual Event & Expo to take place on Sunday, May 6, 2012
St. Charles, MO – St. Louis-based Comedian, Writer and Actress Phyllis Shulman (www.phyllisisfunny.com) is bringing humor and laughter to the 2012 “Be Deliciously Alive!” Event on Sunday, May 6th, 2012 at the St. Charles Community College’s College Center Gymnasium.
Phyllis Shulman will take the Main Stage at 1:30pm. Attendees to the “Be Deliciously Alive!” Event & Expo should be ready to laugh hysterically, as Shulman’s brand humor is absolutely hilarious.
Shulman has appeared as the opening act for many nationally-known comedians, including Kevin James, Brian Regan and Bill Engvall. She regularly appears at various clubs and comedy forums throughout the Midwest. Phyllis has showcased original material at Catch A Rising Star, Comedy Etc., Funny Bone and Laugh Track.
As an actress, Shulman has earned an Emmy Nomination for her television work, and she appeared in the 1996 MGM/UA movie “Larger Than Life” with Bill Murray.
Other career accomplishments for Phyllis Shulman include “TWO JEWELS”, a one-woman stage show, in which she wrote and performed in 2000 and 2001; and her “Discover Me” book release in the Spring 2005.
Event organizer Kelley Lamm notes, “We’re thrilled that Phyllis Shulman will be joining the entertainment line-up at the ‘Be Deliciously Alive!’ Event! Her comedic outlook adds a hysterical spin on ordinary life, and she invites us all laugh at ourselves, while we put up with and love with our insane families, psycho friends and irritating pets at the same time.”
Shulman’s appearance is the latest addition to the upcoming “Be Deliciously Alive!” Event & Expo. This event will also highlight live performances and musical entertainment, beauty tips and healthy living programs, a fashion show, discussions with local and national authors, and some unique surprises. Additional unique features of this third annual event include the “Tastiest Treat” and the “Designer Cake Challenge”, plus food and beverage sampling from a variety of area restaurants. There will also be $10 tickets available to purchase, for the “Ultimate Mother’s Day Dream Package” prize giveaway at the event.
Admission to the “Be Deliciously Alive!” Event & Expo is $5.00 per person, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Charles Community College Scholarship Foundation.
